How to eliminate unemployment in America.
Unemployment is on the rise. People are losing their jobs, What can be done ? Is there a way to put everyone back to work ? If there is the will, there is a way.
First everybody must agree to work 50 % fewer hours each week. If you currently work 40 hours, you must agree to work 20 hours. Secondly, all the people who have lost their jobs must agree to go back to work for 20 hours per week. The government must then agree to reduce income taxes for all those workers by 50 %. The Net result being that their Net pay is exactly the same, but now they are all working only 20 hours per week.
The Government can afford to reduce these Income taxes since they have put 3 million people back to work to pay taxes rather than the Government needing to pay unemployment or welfare. Companies must agree to share in cost of health insurance for these people working 20 hours and the government must agree to reduce their corporate taxes by an equal amount.
If everybody agreed to these reductions we could all go back to work and get America moving again. Rather than spending Trillions of dollars on bail-outs, the Government should use creative “Back-to-work” solutions. What do we do with the other 20 hours ? Volunteer, raise our children, learn to play piano, learn to speak spanish.
